Application Process:

Surface Preparation

The blockwork or concrete shall be properly cured, clean, and free from all dirt, oil, grease, and old, loose peeling paint. The substrate should be damp, and excess water should be swept off. The minimum curing time is 2-3 days.

Mixing

• Mix thoroughly DUPLAST: Ready Mix Plaster.
• Place clean, potable water
• Add DUPLAST – Ready Mix Plaster.
• Use approximately 6.5 Liters of water for 40 kg Ready Plaster
• Mix with a trowel or with a slow-speed motor to get a smooth and travelable consistency
• Need to adjust consistency if necessary
• Re-mix and apply using an appropriate notching trowel

 

Application

• Spread a slurry bond coat of DUPLAST – Ready Mix Plaster slurry over the blockwork or concrete surface.
• Apply the plaster evenly to the required thickness and finish using a straight edge.
• Press timely to work into the surface

Consumption:

Coverage is based on the smoothness and evenness of the substrate, the type of masonry work, and the thickness of mortar used. A coverage of 17-20 SFT. per bag of 40 Kg is received when applied with a thickness of 10-12 mm.

Prepare plaster by adding DUPLAST Ready Mix Plaster to 15-20% of water and not vice versa.

Troubleshooting
