D Seal C200 - Cement Based Waterproofing

Cementitious Waterproofing

Cementitious waterproofing is a cement-based coating system. It bonds directly to concrete and masonry surfaces. It fills pores and micro-cracks from the inside. As a result, it creates a strong, watertight concrete waterproofing system.

D-Seal C200 is Ducon’s premium cementitious waterproofing coating in Bangladesh. It is a two-component (2K) acrylic-modified system. One component is a polymer liquid. The other is a cement-based powder.

Furthermore, D-Seal C200 is made with premium-grade resin and formulation. This ensures it performs well with local sand, cement, and water. It also suits Bangladesh’s harsh weather conditions perfectly.

Understanding Cementitious Waterproofing Coating

What Is Cementitious Waterproofing?

D-Seal C200 cementitious waterproofing is a two-part waterproofing coating. This means it chemically bonds with the concrete surface. Consequently, it forms a monolithic, seamless concrete waterproofing layer where water simply cannot pass through.

Bangladesh faces unique waterproofing challenges during monsoon season, which brings extremely heavy rainfall every year. Cement-based waterproofing C200 addresses all these challenges effectively. It is a flexible polymer-modified cement waterproofing system. Unlike ordinary waterproof cement, it stretches with structural movement.

Application Process

Ducon follows international standards during the application process of cement-based waterproofing. We collaborate with Fountech for expert application processes. Also, we ensure every project meets the best quality, which will guarantee superior longevity and performance for your facility.

Step 1: Surface Preparation

Our expert application team starts by removing all dust, dirt, oil, algae, and loose material. After that we use a stiff wire brush or pressure washer. This step is for strong bonding.

Step 2: Crack and Defect Repair

Filling all cracks, holes, and voids with Ducon Repair Mortar creates a smooth, solid base for the coating. Furthermore, this step prevents future peeling.

Step 3: Mixing D-Seal C200

After that we pour the acrylic polymer liquid into a clean mixing container and then gradually add the cement powder while mixing. Using a mechanical mixer for a lump-free, consistent paste.

Step 4: First Coat Application

After completing the surface, we apply the first coat of cementitious C200 using a brush or roller. After ensuring complete and even coverage on all areas it builds the primary waterproof bond layer and seals any microscopic gaps.

Step 5: Reinforcement Layer

While the first coat is still wet, we embed fibre-reinforced mesh at stress points. Then we cover parapet junctions, drain outlets, and pipe penetrations. We let the first coat dry for 4 to 6 hours.

Step 6: Second Coat and Curing

Apply the second coat perpendicular to the first direction. This technique ensures complete, uniform coverage. It’s recommended to keep the applied surface moist for 3 days as proper curing ensures maximum hardness and durability.

Properties: Cementitious Waterproofing Membrane

The D Seal C200 cementitious waterproofing membrane is a mix applied to stone or concrete walls to build a shield against leaks. This waterproofing membrane is mixed together with rubbery latex or fluid plastics, and this coating is frequently put to work to block leaks, damp air, and moisture-related ruin in areas prone to wetness.
