Duconmix RSP PCE 830

Retarding Superplasticizer Concrete Admixture

Concrete that stiffens in the drum before it reaches the pour point is one of the costliest problems a ready-mix operator can face: rejected loads, cold joints, and rework that erodes margin on every truck dispatched. Manufactured by Ducon Construction Chemicals Industries Ltd at our Gazipur production facility, Duconmix RSP PCE 830 is a modified polycarboxylic ether-based retarding superplasticiser admixture engineered to keep concrete workable for extended periods without segregation or bleeding. As a chloride-free, low-alkali retarding superplasticiser compatible with all cement types, it is purpose-built for long-distance transit mix concrete, pumped concrete, and high-performance concrete admixture applications that must stay fluid until placement, tested to ASTM C494 Types B, D & G; EN 934-2: T3.1/3.2; and IS 9103 DA. Where an ordinary high-range water-reducing admixture runs out of workable time, this PCE-based superplasticiser is dosed to give crews the extra hours they need without redesigning the mix.

What is Duconmix RSP PCE 830?

Ready-mix plants and site engineers dispatching concrete over long hauls, into congested reinforced sections, or under a hot Bangladeshi sun are usually managing the same underlying risk: workability that disappears faster than the truck can travel. A standard plasticiser buys some time, but once ambient temperature climbs past 30°C or the haul stretches beyond an hour, slump loss accelerates, and the crew ends up placing concrete that no longer flows around formwork or reinforcement. Duconmix RSP PCE 830 was formulated to solve that specific problem. It is an economical admixture based on modified polycarboxylic ether that allows a considerable reduction of mixing water while keeping precise control over the extent of set retardation so the mix stays workable in excess of three hours at +25°C rather than the 45 to 90 minutes typical of untreated concrete. Unlike a conventional plasticiser, this PCE-based superplasticiser is formulated specifically to decouple water reduction from rapid set, which is the combination most ready-mix teams struggle to find in a single product.

Application Process

1. Dosing:

Start inside the 200g to 600g per 50kg of cementitious material range recommended for Duconmix RSP PCE 830, and confirm the exact figure with trial mixes before full-scale production, since job-site materials, temperature, and the required degree of water reduction all vary. Mixes needing more than 20% water reduction typically sit toward the higher end of this range.

2. Timing:

Add Duconmix RSP PCE 830 once 50% to 70% of the total mixing water is already in the batch, when the concrete is damp rather than dry. Do not disperse it onto dry aggregate or dry cement, as this reduces the plasticizing effect and the achievable water reduction.

3. Mixing:

Mix thoroughly for a minimum of 60 seconds after addition in forced-action mixers, continuing until the admixture is uniformly dispersed through the batch. Check slump before dispatch to confirm the target workability has been reached.

4. Water-cement ratio:

For waterproof concrete, keep the water-cement ratio between 0.40 and 0.60, and keep total water content as low as practical for the required workability.

5. Placing and curing:

Place concrete as early as possible after batching and compact it thoroughly. Cure properly, especially in hot, windy, or dry conditions, since inadequate curing undermines the waterproofing benefit regardless of dosage.

6. Site Precautions:

Do not exceed the recommended dosage without technical approval. Changes in cement type, aggregate grading, moisture content, or weather conditions may affect concrete performance.

Key Features:

Benefits: Ducon Mix 700

At the batching plant: lower water demand means using admixture to reduce cement content in concrete becomes achievable without sacrificing target strength, helping ready-mix operators manage material cost per cubic metre while still meeting the specified grade.

During placement: extended workability, in excess of 60 minutes at +25°C, gives crews more time to place and finish concrete on hot, humid days, a real constraint on most Bangladesh job sites between March and September.

Over the structure's service life: reduced permeability limits chloride ingress, sulfate attack, and freeze-related deterioration, cutting long-term repair cost, particularly in marine, sewage, and water-retaining structures where re-entry for repair is expensive.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ducon Construction Chemicals Industries Ltd. is one of the leading industrial concrete admixture suppliers BD engineers rely on for batch-to-batch consistency, ISO 9001:2015 certification, and factory-direct supply from our Gazipur production facility. We provide Duconmix WPR 700 as a proven choice for ready-mix plants, infrastructure projects, and site engineers who need a water-reducing admixture backed by test certification and proper dosage guidance rather than site-level guesswork.

Our ready mix concrete chemical price for Duconmix WPR 700 is BDT 65,000 per tonne, available in pack sizes ranging from 5 kg to 1 tonne drums to suit both small site orders and large batching plant requirements. We offer factory-direct dispatch from our Gazipur facility, so contractors and ready-mix operators get consistent quality at a competitive ready mix concrete chemical price without middleman markups.

Ducon supply concrete admixtures for mega projects including bridges, flyovers, tunnels, marine structures, and large-scale infrastructure where batch-to-batch consistency and compliance with international standards like ASTM C494 and IS:9103 are non-negotiable. Our Duconmix WPR 700 is trusted by engineers and ready-mix plants across Bangladesh because we back every drum with ISO 9001:2015 certification, full test documentation, and dedicated technical support from our Gazipur production facility.

The most commonly used concrete admixture types and their uses in BD projects include water reducers for improving strength and workability, retarding superplasticizers for long-distance ready-mix delivery, early strength admixtures for fast formwork removal, and PCE-based superplasticizers for high-performance structural concrete. We manufacture the full range under our Duconmix product line, so contractors and engineers across Bangladesh can source the right admixture type for foundations, bridges, water tanks, or precast units from a single trusted supplier.

Yes, using concrete admixtures for sustainable building BD projects is one of the most practical ways to lower cement consumption without compromising target strength, since a well-dosed water reducer allows engineers to maintain grade while cutting the cement content per cubic metre. Our Duconmix WPR 700 supports sustainable mix design by reducing water demand and enabling partial replacement of cement with supplementary materials like fly ash and GGBS, helping projects meet green building goals without additional cost.

Our Duconmix WPR 700 is a proven concrete chemical for bridge and highway projects because it reduces permeability at the mix design stage, limiting chloride ingress, sulfate attack, and surface deterioration caused by years of weather cycling and heavy traffic loading. We supply it with full ASTM C494 and IS:9103 compliance documentation, which consulting engineers and government procurement teams routinely require before approving an admixture for infrastructure use in Bangladesh.

Using admixture to reduce cement content in concrete is one of the most effective cost-control strategies available to ready-mix operators and site engineers, because cement is consistently the most expensive ingredient in any mix design and even a 5 to 10 percent reduction per cubic metre adds up significantly across a large pour. Our Duconmix WPR 700 makes this possible by lowering the water-cement ratio so the target strength grade is achieved with less cement, without any sacrifice in workability, finishing quality, or structural performance.

Our water reducing concrete admixture price is BDT 65,000 per tonne, and because Duconmix WPR 700 is manufactured locally at our Gazipur facility, contractors avoid the import lead times, customs delays, and currency fluctuation risks that come with sourcing a water-reducing concrete admixture from overseas suppliers.
