Duconmix RSP 600: Advanced Material Composition

Ducon’s Duconmix RSP 600 is a retarding superplasticiser concrete admixture. It is formulated with synthetic polymers (sulphonated naphthalene and sodium lignosulphonate), specially designed to modify the rheoplastic qualities of concrete. Our product shall have an average relative density of 1.23 at 25ºC.

Description

Duconmix RSP 600 – Premium Slump Retention Admixture in Bangladesh

Ducon’s Duconmix RSP 600 is a high-performance retarding superplasticiser designed to extend the workability of concrete while ensuring excellent strength and durability. As a top-tier slump retention admixture in Bangladesh, it effectively prevents rapid slump loss, making it ideal for large-scale infrastructure projects, high-rise buildings, and hot-weather concreting. This advanced retarding admixture enhances flowability, reduces water demand, and delays setting time without compromising concrete strength. Whether you require a retarding superplasticizer in Bangladesh for ready-mix concrete or site-mixed applications, Duconmix RSP 600 ensures consistent quality and superior performance. Trust Duconmix RSP 600 for optimized concrete placement and long-lasting results. Contact us today to learn more about our high-quality slump retention admixture solutions.

Features and Benefits

Integrating Duconmix RSP 600 into your concrete mix design provides a wide range of operational advantages:

  • Reducing thermal peaks
  • High workability for longer periods
  • Lower pumping pressure
  • Resistance to segregation even at high workability
  • Extending the setting with longer workability
  • Reducing water content for a given workability
  • Higher ultimate strengths
  • Reducing permeability
  • Improving durability
  • Reducing shrinkage and hair cracks
  • Increasing ease in finishing concrete
  • Provides lower in-place cost

Application Method

Duconmix RSP 600 is a ready-to-use liquid that is dispensed into the concrete together with the mixing water. The plasticising effect and water reduction are higher if the admixture is added to the damp concrete after 50% to 70% of the mixing water has been added. The addition of Duconmix RSP 600 to dry aggregate or cement is not recommended. Automatic dispensers are available.

Material Compatibility

Duconmix RSP 600 demonstrates excellent versatility across various mix designs:

  1. Admixture Compatibility: Compatible with most admixtures used in the production of quality concrete, including normal, other mid-range and high-range water-reducing admixtures, air entrainers, accelerators, and retarders.
  2. Specialized Additives: Functions seamlessly alongside extending set control admixtures, corrosion inhibitors, and shrinkage reducers.
  3. Cementitious Materials: Fully compatible with slag, fly ash, kaolin, and silica fume.

Dosage Guidelines

The optimum Duconmix RSP 600 dosage should be determined with trial mixes. Because of variations in concrete materials, job site conditions, and/or applications, dosages outside of the recommended range may be required. In such cases, contact your local Ducon representative.

Standard Application Levels:

  • Standard Starting Range: 200 mL to 600 mL per 50 kg (1 Bag) of cementitious material.
  • High-Performance Concrete: Up to 900 mL per 50 kg (1 Bag) of cementitious material, subject to prior site trials.

Dosage Control & Overdosage Risk Management

Careful monitoring of the dosage is essential. A slight overdose may not adversely affect the ultimate strength of the concrete and can achieve higher strengths than normal concrete, provided it is properly compacted and cured. However, due allowance should be made for the effect of fluid concrete pressure on formwork, and stripping times should be monitored closely.

Effects of Severe Overdosage:

If a severe overdosage occurs, consult your local Ducon representative immediately. The consequences include the following:

  • Long extension of the initial and final setting times.
  • Increase in air entrainment.
  • Bleeding or segregation of the mix, along with a quick loss of workability.
  • Increasing plastic shrinkage.

Application Process

Getting the most out of Duconmix RSP 600 comes down to the moment you add it. Instead of throwing this liquid into a dry blend of cement and gravel, you want to introduce it directly alongside your mixing water. For maximum impact, wait until the batch is already damp—ideally after more than half of your total batch water has filled the drum. Pouring it in at this specific window supercharges the fluid dynamics, ensuring the polymers blend evenly. Use a precision dispenser to control the dose, giving you a smooth, highly workable pour that holds its slump perfectly.
